Shilo Inns Bend

The beds are comfortable and clean, the river is beautiful, the TV works, the staff is kind even though it sounds like they deal with tons of cranky guests. It's in a good location, feels safe. The grounds and buildings are spacious and well built. There are ducks on the river and deer wandering about. Yes, the carpets are stained and the rooms aren't immaculate or modern, but if you're easy going, this place hits the marks. Thank you!

After reading the recent reviews I was really concerned. I have family in the area and we used to come here OFTEN when I was a child and teenager to visit family. 15 years later and the place hasn't changed much. It's definitely aged in the last 15 years, but the pool/spa area is great, the rooms ARE clean and the staff has been excellent. We are in town for a sports event and though we were unable to get a room close to our travelling partners due to different room types, I have no complaints other than the fact that the wall and carpet are pulling apart from each other and the door frames are chewed up in the bathroom. It definitely needs some repairs and truthfully the room costs more than I believe it should but when my only complaints are just little trivial cosmetic issues...also no breakfast...well, no real complaints. This has always been and still is, a good place to rest our heads.

Decent room old but no bugs or spiders. Nice gal up front. Would stay here again.

The hotel and front desk assistants were very respectful and patient. The hospitality and kindness made it very worth the while.

Location was the best part of this. Right off the main road and across from a busy shopping area. 2 indoor hot tubs that get nice and hot when you turn the 15 minute knob near the windows. The pool was cool so on a hot day that would be nice also. Right next to the river is a plus but walking around is kinda up and down. Room was satisfying and slept well. Can hear upstairs woopie quite easily so recommend getting a room above or by the river. I would return for the convenience and overall value

I just spent 8 days at the Shiloh, and it was an exceptional stay. It is my third time in the last year. Each time I have had a room on the river with a kitchenette and it felt like I was in the mountains soaked in nature instead of the middle of town. The pool house is also on the river with two really great jacuzzis that are really clean as well as the pool. My room was clean and comfortable and quiet which is very important to me. Quiet and serene. Most hotels are noisy with street noise, but not here. Beautiful setting, wild geese with their babies visiting the river. Hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. It is an older hotel, but I actually rather like that than those shiny pseudo hotels where you have horrid views of a parking lot from the room. I love staying here because it feels like a serene vacation.

Stayed here while visiting family in bend. We would probably stay here again next time we go. Its set up less like a hotel and more like a motel with the doors facing outdoors rather than a hallway. We stayed in one of the buildings on the river, and it was lovely. The rooms are a little dated, and you can tell its an old hotel. We had a kitchenette in ours and it really didnt have any dishes or silverware. I think we had one cup, a couple bowls, a single plate, a spoon and a butter knife, no pans or anything to cook with if we had wanted to. Check in and check out were easy, but when I was booking I asked for a room that had a couch (like in their room photos), and when we arrived there wasnt one. Which was a little irritating since I paid extra for the slightly larger room. (It really wasnt that much bigger, and i don't know that you could have put a couch in there. My kids loved playing in the pool, though there was a musty smell to it, and the bathrooms were kind of gross. The hot tubs were both out of commission at the time as well. But it was open till 11, and we had it to ourselves a majority of the time.
